2022 Barossa Valley Mataro Rose
Vineyard
Nestled at the cool Southern end of the Barossa Valley, near the boundary of the Adelaide Hills, is Aldo’s Vineyard. This single vineyard is planted on a deep silty grey loam overlaying a yellow clay and consistently produces Mataro with complex spice and aromatic intensity.
Winemaking
The Mataro was hand-harvested on the 9 th March 2022 and whole bunch pressed directly to seasoned oak. The wine was fermented and matured in this oak on full solids. After 5 months the wine was blended in stainless steel and filtered in time for bottling in early August 2022
